The VWC Way Since 1974

On July 16, 1974, Rolf Voldal and Ed Wartelle broke away from a “Big 8” accounting firm to pursue something different: a CPA firm built on human-centered principles. With strategic risk-taking, dedicated hard work, and a commitment to valuing people—not just numbers—Rolf and Ed established what would become a 50-year legacy of excellence. Their forward-thinking, people-first approach laid the groundwork for what we now call the “VWC way.”

Rolf & Ed founded this team with a people-first attitude and a spirit of collaboration that continues to guide our present-day, 35 person firm.  Now, VWC has realized 50 years of business success and a long list of loyal clients who have become lifelong friends.  Thank you to Ed and Rolf, and to each vital team member and treasured client we’ve had along the way.
